A Letter from Abel & Gigi
We’re honored that you’re taking the time to get to know us and consider us as adoptive parents for your child. We love living in Florida near the ocean, exploring locally and abroad. Gigi has two grown daughters, and Abel has always wanted to be a father. Since we met, we’ve wanted to raise a child together and are excited to grow our family through adoption!
We look forward to sharing our cozy days at home, and love for travel and family time, with a child. If you’d like, we will gladly welcome an open adoption and ongoing contact with you through photos, letters, and visits. We look forward to getting to know you!
We both work at the same hospital where we met; Abel is a doctor and Gigi is a nurse. We have been married 4 years now, and we love to travel to places like Europe, Asia, and California. We really get into the history and art of the places we explore! We have so much fun going to museums where the information we read about in books is brought to life. We also consider ourselves to be “foodies” and enjoy trying new restaurants in our city.
While we love being active, we’re also homebodies (and Disney fans!) at heart and are so ready to share our everyday lives with a little one. We look forward to sand castles, family dinners, and even starting new traditions as a little family of three.
Abel is a respected physician and he loves his work at the hospital. He’s a humble, simple, and honorable man, and a kind, loving husband. As a dad, I know he will raise our child to have a good moral compass and respectable character.
He loves to fish, and since we live near the ocean, he especially enjoys off-shore fishing. He’s handy around the house and is my go-to man whenever there’s something that needs fixing. He enjoys working out and shares my love for travel and new experiences. I am so excited to see him take on the role of father and know that he has so much love to give.
Gigi loves her career in nursing. As a mother, she is kind, compassionate, and plans to be a stay-at-home-mom after we adopt. Gigi is honest, hardworking, supportive, and she’s dedicated to both of our families with her whole heart.
She plays the guitar and is a talented sketch artist. Gigi recently started gardening (she loves flowers!) and she always enjoys a good book or movie. She’s so excited to share her hobbies with our child, and I know she’ll encourage him or her to explore their own talents and interests.
We live in a 4 bedroom, newly remodeled home that we’ve put our heart and soul into. We’re in a great part of town near the beach with quality schools a block down the road. Our neighbors are friendly, and we hope to share this welcoming, safe environment with a child. We also have a nice little pool, a swing set, and a beautiful yard to run around in.
We have a sweet French Bulldog, named Ringo, who is well-trained, great with our friends’ kids, and like a part of our little family.
We both come from loving families who are incredibly supportive of our adoption journey. Abel’s mother lives nearby and is very involved in our lives. She’s ready and willing to babysit our child whenever needed.
We are so proud of Gigi’s 2 daughters, who are grown and live overseas. Gigi’s mother and five of her siblings are in the Philippines, her home country. Once our child is old enough, we plan to take a trip to the Philippines as a family.
We’re also surrounded by many close friends who we know we can count on for support and who will love our child alongside us.
We promise to give your child unconditional love, support, and the best opportunity to succeed in life. We believe it’s very important to provide your child with a foundation of faith, so we will raise your child in the Catholic Church and teach him or her about the Lord. Our hope is that our child will grow to have good values, humility, and respect for others. Your child will be in good, loving hands. We promise to keep in touch with you through photos, letters, and visits if this is your hope and look forward to getting to know you.
