A Letter from Adam & Kristi
We’re an easy-going, down to earth couple excited to be first-time parents! After four years of infertility treatments, we felt God’s “next” was to adopt. We’re centered on grace, God’s truth, and love. We are excited for local family adventures to the park or library and evenings with Netflix, bedtime stories, and snuggles. We’re honored that you would consider us as parents of your child and are looking forward to getting to know you more. We’re open to pictures, letters, and visits if you are comfortable.
We met 10 years ago in the college choir and connected over our mutual love of music. We had a Christmas wedding in 2012 and have been making music and memories ever since. We enjoy the outdoors, music and love spending time together whether watching Netflix or traveling for vacation.
We enjoy volunteering as it’s a way for us to express our faith and love others. We serve at a local organization to pack rice meals several times a year, volunteer at our local family service shelter, and help at church. We seek to love others in action and word and hope to pass on these values to your child.
My husband is a tender, passionate, spiritual leader and my biggest encouragement. He loves technology and is always tinkering with computers and the latest gadgets. He is a creative problem solver, both in work and at home. His goofy smile and lighthearted personality always bring joy to those around him. He plays guitar and uses his gift of music not only in our living room jam sessions but also in the church praise band. He is an exceptional cook and is always trying new recipes, and he is excited to share his love of music and cooking with our child.
My beautiful wife is the most compassionate, dedicated, and enjoyable person you will ever meet. She is always looking for ways to give to others. She keeps me grounded and makes me a better person. Her laughter is contagious and always lights up a whole room. She is very creative with photography and sewing. The number one thing that I see in Kristi is her passion and natural ability to love and care for children. She works with children each day in her job, and her patience and tender-hearted personality will no doubt overflow into motherhood as we start our family.
Our home is a spacious four bedroom, three bathroom rambler that was purchased with family in mind. We have an upstairs living room with extra soft carpet that makes it great for playing on the floor or giving “horsey rides”. Downstairs we have a spacious family room where we relax with the occasional Netflix movie. The best part about our home is our beautiful, sun-filled nursery. Our corner lot has lots of room to run and play or we can walk two blocks to the park for more fun.
Kristi comes from a fifth-generation family farm which means summer fun complete with tractor rides, fresh picked sweet corn, and the simple life. Adam comes from a family of four with a large extended family who are also farmers that gather for a summer barn party.
Christmas is a big deal for both of us and involves decorating together, looking at neighborhood lights, candlelight worship, and multiple gatherings with family and friends. Adam’s mom always bakes large amounts of goodies, which is a tradition that we have continued. We also make it a point to celebrate an old-fashioned 4th of July with Kristi’s extended family on the farm each year.
We promise to give your child a stable home, filled with unconditional love. We are devoted to teaching them to know how much Jesus loves them. We will encourage them to grow and pursue his or her dreams while finding God’s plan and purpose for their life. We will instill a desire for lifelong learning and support him or her through college and beyond.
We are open to a relationship with you through photos, letters, emails, and annual visits if you are comfortable.
We would love to hear from you!
