A Letter from Colby & Sarah
Hello from Tennessee,
We feel blessed that you would consider us to be parents for your child. We are a fun family of three who would love to add to our family through adoption again. Our days are full of laughter, learning, encouragement, family, and we are looking forward to sharing it all with your child! We are open to staying in contact with you after the adoption.
About Us
We met in college and have now been married for 9 years. We feel like adoption is God’s plan for us since we are not able to have children naturally. We adopted our son in 2017 and he has been the biggest blessing of our lives.
We love to travel, but mostly we enjoy spending time together. We go to the local park, Nashville Predators hockey games, or to the zoo (we even have a zoo membership!). We like to explore new restaurants, spend time with family and friends, go to plays, the movies, and attending mass together.
Colby
What I love most about Colby is his passion and strength. He can remove any stress and takes care of us with all he has. He is funny, kind, and passionate with our loved ones; he would do anything for those dear to him. Colby loves all things sports. He is also an avid reader (books are his passion), and he loves animals of all kinds. He always asks if we can get another dog!
With Colby being the associate director of athletic communications for the local college, we get to attend many sporting events, and we have so much fun going to them as a family. Even after a long day of work, he comes home with energy to play with our son. He is such a wonderful father, and I am excited to see him with another little one.
Sarah
Sarah is the smartest person I know, and also the kindest. She gives me the courage and conviction to dream big and always believes in me. She loves her job as a statistician and gets to train the next generation of doctors! Her passion is helping people and always looks for ways to make someone’s day a little better.
Sarah loves all things arts and crafts and enjoys a new project. She volunteers at the local college by mentoring students, loves to go to plays or concerts around town, and is a huge Harry Potter fan! Her number one priority is our family, and she would do anything for us. She has embraced motherhood and would love to share our life with another child.
Our Family
All of our family lives within a couple of hours of us, and they visit often (our son is the first grandchild on both sides of the family!). We are lucky to have such a great support system in our lives.
Our son is almost 3, and he will be the best big brother! He loves kids; he loves saying bye to the babies in the nursery at his pre-school and is very concerned any time he hears a baby cry.
Sarah’s favorite family tradition is singing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus on Christmas or our big breakfast for lunch on Christmas Eve. We also take an annual trip to the lake with our college friends and their families every summer. We all stay on a cattle ranch in cabins, and the kids have a blast getting to go out on the boat!
Our Home in Tennessee
Our home has 3 bedrooms, a playroom, and a large yard to play in. We live just outside of Nashville, around the corner from beautiful walking trails. We will convert our guest room to a nursery, after we adopt, so that we can personalize it to our child. Our latest project has been renovating the formal dining room into a library (Colby’s dream!).
We love everything about living in our town and have a great community. We are a big sports family and love to go to football, baseball, and especially professional hockey games (Go Preds!). There is also a performing arts theater nearby where we love to see Broadway plays and local performances.
We’ve rescued two dogs, Peanut and Linus, who are very playful and great with children. We love taking them to the dog park and playing fetch.
Our Promise
We promise to always remember the gift you have given us as a family. We promise to love your child with all our hearts and be there for every soccer game, tea party, and school play. We will raise your child in faith-based household where he or she will be encouraged to pursue higher education. Your child will be surrounded by our supportive family and friends and will always have people to lean on.
We are open to sharing letters and pictures and visits, if you would be comfortable. Currently, we share updates and pictures with our son’s birth mom through email every couple of months, and we will be happy to keep in touch with you as well. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
