A Letter from Jeff & Britney
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are an active and loving family of four looking forward to growing our family through the gift of adoption.
We’ve been happily married for 10 years. Britney is a stay-at-home mom to our two wonderful boys. Faith and family are the foundation of our lives. We are excited to open our hearts and home to children of any race and up to six years of age.
We’ve been blessed in many ways and will provide your child with a healthy life filled with love and opportunity. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing with you pictures, letters, and visits.
We met each other in a small town in Iowa where we were both going to school. Jeff was visiting a store where he used to work when he met their newest employee- Britney. A few months later, we officially began dating and have been inseparable ever since.
We’ve been married for 10 years now and have been blessed with two wonderful little boys. Due to health challenges throughout those pregnancies, we are unable to expand our family farther biologically. We’ve both always dreamed of having a large family and even talked about adopting on our first dates, so adoption has truly been in our hearts for many years.
Together, we love to play board games, explore museums and tend to their garden. The whole family has fun attending sporting events as well as food and art festivals. We look forward to sharing all of these things with a new addition to our family.
Britney is a warm, loving mother with a huge heart. She is passionate about helping others and brings joy to all around her. Britney works hard to instill a sense of community, inclusion, and purpose in our children. She has a smile that lights up the room and is an amazing cook – her homemade lasagna is incredible! Britney loves gardening, board games, and basketball. She is excited to have another little helper in the garden with her. In everything that she does, Britney pays attention to the details and takes the extra steps to make things special. She is drawn to social situations and shines when entertaining; she is an incredible host for our family, friends, and neighbors.
Jeff is incredibly smart, hard-working and a tender-hearted father. Jeff is always upbeat and shares his positivity with everyone around him. He’s also very charming, outgoing and enjoys spending time at the pool in our neighborhood. Jeff loves sports, chess and is an amazing baker – his chocolate chip cookies don’t last long in our house. Jeff is also a very involved father – he coaches many of our boys’ sports teams, volunteers at our elementary school and is quick to start a pickup game of basketball with the neighborhood kids. Jeff is also very handy around the house – a skill he’s passing along to our children and looks forward to passing down to our next child as well.
Odin is our 10-year-old, incredibly responsible, tender-hearted boy. He is a great big brother, a natural leader, and dreams of inventing something that will change the world.
Asher is our 7-year-old, bright and rambunctious boy. He is an exceptional student, enjoys science, has an amazing sense of humor and loves to laugh.
Both of our children are excited to welcome home their new sibling and to teach them how to dance, swim and play games- especially soccer!
Jeff’s older brother, Andy, and his parents all live close by. Our home usually hosts family dinners, holiday parties, and summer barbecues. Britney’s parents and brothers live in the Midwest and enjoy escaping the winter to spend time with us. Jeff’s grandfather lives in Orlando, so trips to Disney and Florida beaches are never far away.
Our whole family is excited about our adoption!
We live in a large, 4 bedroom traditional home in a family-oriented neighborhood. We are close enough to the city to enjoy museums, festivals and sporting events, yet tucked nicely in one of Georgia’s best school districts. We are walking distance to our neighborhood pool and playground as well as a short drive to a beautiful nature persevere.
Our extra-large yard had everything from a large garden and orchard to soccer nets, a tree house, and a trampoline. We also have a basketball hoop in the driveway that hosts many neighborhood games.
We promise to surround your child with love, family, support, and faith. We are committed to providing them the best possible opportunities for family fun, cultural experiences, and education.
We are looking forward to celebrating their birthdays and milestones. We’re also really excited to have another seat at the table for family dinners and another child to watch unwrap Christmas presents.
We are open to any degree of contact that you desire, including letters, photos, and visits. We’d love to share more about ourselves and learn about you and your dreams for your child.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
Jeff has a passion for sports and working with you. For the past 8 years, Jeff has volunteered with various youth sports organizations. Jeff really enjoys teaching and encouraging kids - as well as watching their development. Jeff also enjoys exercising and has participated in many fundraising 5K's supporting our schools and food pantry.
Britney is passionate about helping the disadvantaged. Specifically, Britney has supported a variety of food insecurity programs, including our local pantry, emergency food kit builds and women's shelter. Britney also participates in fundraising as well as preparing and serving meals.
Volunteering and community involvement are important to both of us. We like to get the whole family involved whenever we can. Along with being socially conscious, we are also environmentally aware and try to implement these values in our parenting.
Both of us were raised in Christian households and attended church regularly. Jeff's mother is a Methodist pastor and brings her faith to holidays and family gatherings. Jeff's mother even married us! We attend a Methodist church that provide many volunteer opportunities and participates in many service projects.
In addition to our own faith, we've also enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors of other faith traditions. Just recently, we experienced a our first Passover dinner with one of Asher's classmates. Our faith is based on Christian values, but we appreciate and respect other religions.
Our Family & Friends
We are very close to our extended family. Although much of our family resides in the Midwest, Jeff's brother and parents recently relocated to the Atlanta area to be near us. We enjoy family dinners, camp fires and pickup games of every sport. Since relocating to Georgia, we've had many family and friends from the Midwest come to stay with us as well. We also enjoy visiting Jeff's grandfather in Orlando and checking out the Disney theme parks.
In addition, we have a wonderful network of family friends throughout the Atlanta area. We enjoy getting together at festivals, parks and swimming at the pool. Our friends have children of all ages and races.
About Our Home
We live in a 4 bedroom traditional home. Our spacious living room is often filled with family and friends playing board games or cheering on our favorite teams. On chilly days, we enjoy the fireplace in our living room. We share our home with our 2 dogs and Britney dreams of having backyard chickens someday. We have a very large backyard that is often the site of soccer, football and lacrosse games. We enjoy tending to our large garden and the boys love to snack on fresh blueberries. Our basement is play space for big and little kids alike - we have air hockey, foosball, a drum set and our personal library.
Our oldest son, Odin, is 10 years old. Odin loves to play all sports, but basketball and football are his favorite. Odin is very sweet and responsible. Odin likes to study science and is a great student.
Our youngest son, Asher, is 7 years old. Asher is constantly making us laugh and absolutely loves animals. Asher's 1st grade teacher says that he is a great role model and an exceptional reader. Asher is very excited to become a big brother.
Both of our boys attend a top-rated school where they are fortunate to have friends from all over the world. Odin's best friend is from Africa and Asher's best friend is from India.
We live in the state of...
Although both of us were raised in the Midwest, we call Georgia home today. We enjoy the museums, music and fun that Atlanta offers. Plus, the beach is only 5 hours away. Living in Georgia allows us to maximize the amount of time we can spend outdoors. Jeff loves to play and coach sports. Britney enjoys gardening and hosting backyard barbeques.
We live in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of flowering trees and bushes. Our neighborhood is full of children and we enjoy getting together frequently. We have a pool and tennis courts in our neighborhood - and we can be found there often! We have neighborhood parties monthly and the bus stop is the epicenter of the neighborhood during the school year.
