A Letter from Jesse & Kaytee
Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile! Having been adopted himself, Jesse is extremely grateful for the opportunities given to him through his adoptive parents and we both want to offer those same opportunities to your child. We are open to letters, pictures, and visits if you are comfortable. Your child will be surrounded by love from us, family and friends.
We have always wanted children and, after struggling with infertility, we are thrilled to adopt and grow our family! We love going on adventures can often be found hiking a mountain trail, snowshoeing with our dogs in winter, camping in the summer and exploring new places both near and far. We enjoy socializing with friends, family and, when we’re in need of some downtime, you can find us at home, curled up in blankets, watching TV. Whatever it is, we enjoy spending time together! We are excited to include your child in our adventures and look forward to setting up new family traditions for both holidays and everyday life.
Jesse is definitely an extrovert! He is loving, funny, and dependable. All traits that I know will make him an excellent father. Jesse works hard and when he has a goal he does everything he can to reach it. I greatly admire how outgoing and brave Jesse is. He is supportive of others and knows just how to help and encourage them to try new things without it feeling overwhelming. He provides a constant balance in my life between adventure and relaxation. He enjoys reading, playing guitar, and mountain biking. I am so proud of Jesse and all that he has accomplished. I am excited to see him as a father! I know he is excited to be able to play outside and build forts and igloos with our child.
Kaytee is a Christmas loving, Godly woman and the biggest family supporter out there. She is loving, compassionate and loves every moment of working with children. She is an introvert yet comes out of her shell when with close friends, family, and children. Kaytee always makes time for those dear to her and is happy to lend a listening ear whenever needed. We balance each other out quite well. She is a great cook and loves to try new delicious recipes! Her favorite holiday is definitely Christmas, mostly because of the snow here in Maine, and the wonderful family gatherings. She enjoys hiking, crafting, and reading. I know she is looking forward to watching our children explore and discover the world for the first time.
We feel very blessed to have been able to purchase a home on the road Kaytee grew up on. We live next to Kaytee’s father, paternal grandparents, two sets of aunts and uncles, and two cousins. Our 3 bedroom home is cozy, bright, and open to family and friends. We have a front porch that we enjoy sitting on with some coffee or tea and we have a deck off the back of the house that has steps down into our fenced in back yard. Our property is surrounded by over 100 acres of family property, mostly forest. There are many well-maintained trails that we often walk our two dogs, Mel and Brolee, on. Our house faces a large field where we watch deer, turkey, and other wildlife. Saturday mornings mean coffee and a treat at Nanny and Papa’s, a tradition going back to when Kaytee was a young girl. We love our home!
One of the things that drew us together is our love for family. We are both close with our family members and try to make sure we have quality time with all of them. While we may not all live in the same state, we always love to visit and the distance makes every visit special. Your child will have 3 sets of grandparents, 12 aunts and uncles, and (so far) 5 cousins to love them unconditionally. They are all so excited for us to adopt and will show so much love for you and your child. We are very touched by the support and encouragement they have all given us.
We promise to love your child unconditionally. We promise to provide them with opportunities for reaching their dreams and living a full life. We promise to keep them safe, happy, and healthy as they learn about themselves and the Lord. And finally, we promise to encourage your child to be a kind, loving, and a gracious person to everyone they meet.

More About Our Family
What We Enjoy
We both really enjoy the outdoors. We have started a tradition of camping in Acadia National Park each year for our anniversary and it has become one of our favorite weekends. Our beloved home state of Maine allows us to experience all of the activities we love: camping, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, and snowshoeing. When we aren't spending time outside you can often find us playing card or board games with our friends and family. We love to have fun and try to incorporate a good amount of laughter into each and every day.
We were both raised as Baptist Christians and are members of a church here in Maine. Jesse is currently the financial deacon and Kaytee helps in the nursery when needed and helps in planning events. We both occasionally work with the teen group, hosting/planning events and chaperoning. The Bible is God's word for us and is extremely important to read and understand. We want to continue to learn about God's word throughout our entire lives and would love for our children to want the same. Unconditional love is shown to us through Christ and we hope to show that same love to all those around us.
Our Taste in Music
Jesse likes a broad range of musical styles and often will listen to lesser-known artists. Some of the music he enjoys is classic (like Frank Sinatra) but he also listens to modern music (like Panic! At the Disco).
Home Sweet home
We really love where we live and are so grateful for the opportunity to live near so much family. We’ve slowly been making it our own. Our most recent project was cleaning out our second guest room and painting it. This room will become the nursery!
The furry pets!
We are both animal lovers and have so much fun playing with our two labs, Mel and Brolee. Mel is so sweet and just wants to be loved on while Brolee is playful and ready to move! We also have a very affectionate cat named Finn who seems to be a huge attraction to all children who come to our home.
