A Letter from John & Volha
Thank you for considering our family for your child! After encountering fertility difficulties, we were blessed with our son, Johnny. We have always felt called to adopt and are thrilled to now grow our family in this way. We love to spend time together as a family, traveling, and volunteering. We are ready to grow our family!
We got engaged at a zip-lining park in Vancouver, Canada and it has been a special place for us to visit ever since! Italy is our favorite place to visit because this is where we got married and our union was blessed by His Holiness Pope Francis. Our new son Johny, was born in 2019 and has been an amazing blessing within our lives! We look forward to taking our kids to St. Peters Square – the capital of Catholic Faith. Sicily is also going to be an exciting destination for your child to visit – we have a lot of extended family who reside there. We enjoy traveling together or attending various charity events, Chicago Lyric Opera, or catching the latest movie. We are greatly excited about growing our family through adoption and know he will be a wonderful big brother to your child.
John loves ALL people and is never one to judge. He always opens the door for the person behind him and is there to support those in need no matter what. John is truly a fantastic father to our son! He fully embraces all aspects of being a dad and does all that he can to engage with and play with our son. When not working, you can find John enjoying various physical and intellectual pursuits. Everything from running, swimming, playing trivia games, or catching up with his friends- John enjoys it all. He loves all facets of life and always stays focused on the positive things around him. He is an amazing dad and I know he is excited to share his passion for running and games with our kids.
Volha was born and raised in Eastern Europe and immigrated with her family to the United States over 15 years ago. Volha is an amazingly dedicated mom. She would do anything for our son and I know she will do the same for your child! During her spare time, Volha really enjoys golfing, practicing yoga, swimming, and reading. She is also quite the cook and Thanksgiving is one of her favorite menus of the year. She feels that Giving Thanks is very important for all of the blessings God has sent our way. She is always up for an adventure and loved to travel! She is truly an amazing woman and I know that she is excited to share her love for swimming and reading with our next child.
Our beautiful, four-bedroom, Georgia style home is located on a quiet tree-lined street that overlooks a children’s park. There is already a baby room ready and waiting for your child to call their own and we look forward to decorating it as they grow. We look forward to first steps together in our sunlit family room and running and playing together in our large backyard as a fmaily. We look forward to teaching our children how to swim, enjoy life, and ride their bike in the park across the street from our house.
John comes from a large family all of whom live close to our hometown. His parents, brothers, and sister all live within a few miles of our house. This means your child will grow up with plenty of family close by to visit, play with, and make memories beside! Some of Volha’s family still lives in Europe including her brother and his family, while her sister lives in Italy with her daughter, who recently had a baby – our Godchild. Volha’s parents spend part of the year here in the US, and part of the year in Europe. We look forward to family trips to visit everyone and look forward to providing your child with the opportunity to make friends in countries around the globe. Our whole family is looking forward to welcoming your child home and being a part of their life!
Our son, Johnny, was born in March of 2019 and he has been a true joy in our lives! He loves to make new friends at daycare and play with our dog, Milo. Johnny has a sweet temperament, is a ball of giggles and laughs, and is a mama’s boy! He loves playing hide-and-seek, helping his Dad, and we are excited to make snowmen with him in the winter! We love to take him traveling and his first international trip was to Mexico city!
We promise to provide your child with a loving home where she or he will be raised in the Catholic faith surrounded by loving family and friends. We both received great educations and look forward to providing the same for your child. Our families never failed to teach us of the word of God and this is one of the most important gifts we would like to share with your child. We take parenting very seriously and will do all that we can to provide for and raise your child in a family filled with love, joy, and pride. We look forward to supporting them through it all and sharing these moments with you through pictures, letters, and visits.

More About Our Family
More About Us and Our Special Interests
John heads a global Catholic Non-Profit organization helping those with a vocation to the priesthood and consecrated religious life. John travels to Rome on annual basis and has been privileged to meet His Holiness Pope Francis, on numerous occasions in the scope of his professional duties. As well, he is an attorney at a successful employment at a law practice. Volha works as a dependent consultant for the healthcare industry, which allows for flexible hours and an opportunity to maintain a great balance between work and home.
We have a wide variety of interests. From traveling to the performing arts and to hosting people at our home. We typically take two vacations a year, one in the United States and one abroad. We are big fans of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and try to go to two or three plays per year. Volha is an amazing hostess and always makes guests in our house feel welcome and comfortable.
We plan to raise our children Roman Catholic. We will teach our children that God is the loving creator of the universe and that God cares about all of his creations, people in particular. While formal education and faith formation are important and something we will pursue our children through Sunday schools and Catholic schools for formal education, John is a fan of the quote from St. Francis of Assisi, "preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words." Children learn from the examples set by their parents in the home, the domestic church. John adds: "Volha is a paragon of honesty and kindness. I know that our children will learn to be true to themselves and kind to others by following her example. Show mercy and generosity to those less fortunate. I would hope that our children learn respect for the laws of God and men through us. "
Our Musical Interest
Our musical taste runs the gamut from classical music to contemporary. Last year, we went to opera four times and saw Tears for Fears and Hall & Oates in concert.
About Our Home
We live in a beautiful Georgian style four bedroom house. While picking the location for our permanent home, we took care to make sure to surround ourselves with immediate family. John's parents live within 5 minutes of our house so the family is never far away. It is important for us to stay connected to our family roots, as we value family above all. Our house offers all that a modern home should be, along with the impressive pool with a half an acre backyard. Our immediate family members are prominent peers within our hometown community which makes it a privilege for us to call it home as well.
What we look forward to as a family
While planning for our family, we look back at our own upbringing and reflect upon our own families who, through their unconditional love and support, provided for us with a successful start in life. As new parents, we look forward raising Johnny and your child to be well-mannered, kind to others, empathetic and determined. We look forward to taking Johnny and your baby to Sunday school every weekend, after school actives like sports or other interests they will will develop while growing up. We both enjoy history and look forward to sharing that with our children. Walking them to school every morning will be a special blessing to look forward to! Taking our first trips together as a family will be an epiphany of joy! We look forward to creating photo albums, framing pictures and sharing them with you!
We live in the state of...
In 2011, our hometown was ranked as one of the top three places to raise a family in the State of Illinois. We have great schools, a very low crime rate, plenty of public parks, and a welcoming environment where people care about one another. Right across the street from our house there is a park where John used to play soccer when he was grown up. It holds a very special memory in our hearts as we look forward to making new memories there with our children.
