A Letter from Spencer & Marisa
Dear Birth Mother,
We are a loving Christian family of four excited to welcome another child into our home. We are financially stable and own our own home. We have wanted to pursue adoption even before we were married and we are excited to be pursuing it now. We live simply and we love it that way. We enjoy going for walks, playing in our backyard with the kids, and having family dinners at home.
We became best friends, and later sweethearts, in high school. We have been happily married for nearly 5 years now. We are the proud parents of two sweet boys, Reed and Jackson.
Adoption has always been on our hearts even before we were married and we are so excited to finally be pursuing it. We have been praying and discussing adoption and believe now is the perfect time for our family to welcome your child into our home.
We are an energetic, active and fun family. We love adventure, traveling, snuggling and playing outside with our boys. We take a family vacation every year to a new state, we love exploring and trying new things! We are so excited to share our wonderful life and loving home with your child.
Spencer is a hardworking provider, loving husband, and caring father. His family’s happiness is his top priority in life. He will do whatever it takes to ensure his children have every opportunity to succeed in following their dreams! Spencer always does his best at everything he does. He is a very passionate and caring person and is the most fun and involved father.
Spencer loves investing, learning, growing and self-improvement. In his free time, he enjoys playing and snuggling with the kids, cooking, reading, and staying fit.
Spencer is so excited to add another member to our happy family! He is looking forward to having a little girl to raise and teach her that she can dream big and achieve anything she sets out to do.
Marisa loves caring for and enjoying our family. She spends her time teaching and playing with the kids, keeping our house organized and cooking. She loves to read, snuggle with our boys, try new recipes, and make every day special.
Marisa is a hardworking and devoted wife and mother that is always coming up with exciting things to do as a family. She makes sure there is always healthy (and delicious) food in our home.
Marisa is excited to have a little girl in the home and looks forward to having a close mother/daughter relationship like she has with her mom. Marisa is looking forward to teaching her how to make healthy desserts, go shopping for girly clothes and spending time together on special mommy/daughter dates.
Reed is our sweet and loving almost 4-year-old. He loves puzzles, snuggles, playing with blocks and running around outside. Reed has autism and is pre-verbal and has been working really hard to say “baby sister.” He loves looking around the nursery and playing chase with his brother.
Jackson is our 2-year-old wild child. He loves running, jumping, climbing and could be outside all day. He loves making people laugh, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and snacks. Jackson will love having a younger sibling to run and play with.
Family is very important to us. We live very close to Marisa’s parents and younger brother and visit every Sunday. Nana loves coming to play and watch the kids! They are extremely excited to be grandparents/uncle again. Nana has already started picking out baby clothes and bought baby dolls for our kids to practice with.
Spencer’s family lives a little farther away but we still visit often! Spencer is the second oldest of 9 siblings. Family get-togethers include lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. The kids love visiting because there are always people to play with. Spencer’s family is really excited about our adoption. Every new little one in the family brings so much joy to the kids and especially Spencer’s parents!
Our Kentucky home is a 3 bedroom, tri-level home with two living areas and a kitchen. It’s the perfect family home! We enjoy keeping our home clean and organized and having family over. We live in a small neighborhood within walking distance of the library, ice cream shop, and park. We have a great backyard with a swing set and we love setting up a little pool in the summertime. We have enjoyed setting up and decorating the nursery right across from our bedroom.
We promise to love and adore your child. We promise to raise them in a loving and faith-based home. We promise to give them every opportunity to succeed and grow in life. We promise to be open and honest with your child about their adoption story and remind them of your love for them. We also promise to be faithful to our communication and letters with you.
