A Letter from Troy & Katt
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We are honored you are taking the time to learn more about us.
We are a fun-loving Christian couple from Georgia. Since getting married 5 years ago, we have struggled with infertility, and it has become clear that God’s plan for us is adoption. We are open to adopting a child that we can shower with love and support. We will be very involved parents and look forward to providing your child unconditional love, security, comfort and joy.
When we met at work 11 years ago, we quickly became friends and started dating soon after. Our life together has been a beautiful journey, or as we like to say, “it’s always an adventure.”
We love traveling to places we’ve never been at least once a year and love visiting our family and friends that live in different states. We are big animal lovers and adore our dog, Sophie. She is a source of great love and entertainment in our home.
We enjoy sports of all kinds and enjoy going to local high school, collegiate, and professional sporting events like football, baseball, racing, soccer, and hockey, and are excited to share these experiences as parents. We both plan to take some time off after we have a child to enjoy that special time and bond together as a family.
Troy is the most caring and supportive person I know. He’s always there when somebody needs a hand. He’s a jack of all trades and handyman, and he loves doing projects around the house like working in the yard and our flower beds.
Troy loves sports of all kinds and enjoys fishing when he gets the chance. He’s a big kid at heart, which makes all our nieces and nephews adore him. He’s the guy at family gatherings that you find playing games with the kids; he’s always their favorite go-to. Troy works hard and takes pride in providing for our family. He is a jokester and he makes me laugh every single day. I couldn’t have asked for a better husband. I know that he is going to be an amazing dad and I look forward to seeing him share his joy with our child.
Katt’s an incredibly compassionate, caring, and thoughtful person with a comforting personality. She is always there for family and friends, and her nieces and nephews absolutely think the world of her. She is a giver and has this uncanny ability to always pick the perfect gift or card to give no matter the person or the occasion.
She knows how to live, laugh, and love and has done an amazing job of making our house a home. She loves to cook, bake, and makes some of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted. I can’t wait to see her in the kitchen making cookies and cupcakes with our child. She’s an amazing wife and I know she’s going to be an awesome mom.
We are both very close with our families. Katt’s family is close by and enjoys celebrating holidays and birthdays. Her parents live a few miles away and we often have Sunday dinners together. Her family includes 7 nieces and nephews, 3 of which are adopted so the family is very open and supportive of adoption. Troy’s family is in another state and he has 3 god-children that we visit and spend time with often.
Christmas is a big celebration in our family. In the last few years, we’ve created a new family tradition of having everyone in our home for Christmas. Troy’s mom comes into town and all of Katt’s family comes over and stays Christmas Eve so we’re all together on Christmas morning. Everyone gets matching pajamas and we wake up and have a huge family breakfast in the morning. It’s an amazing time that we have loved creating with the family.
We live in a 5 bedroom home with a big back yard. It’s a very safe and quiet neighborhood in the suburbs not too far from Atlanta. We like to take our dog on walks around our neighborhood and enjoy neighborhood cookouts. We’re just a mile from the local elementary school and we’re also only a mile away from the community park.
We promise to love and cherish your child. They will always know how much they are loved and how much you love them through your choice of adoption. We promise to be involved parents, provide them a safe and happy home life filled with family and will show them unconditional love and support. We promise to support their interest and dreams, teach them Christian values and provide the best life we can. You will always be a part of our story and we are open to keeping in contact via letters, photos and visits if you like. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
